Bosch is to build a 12 inch fab in Dresden. The company says it will cost $1 billion.
Bosch does not say how many wafers the fab is being equipped to handle, nor does it say what level of process technology will be installed in the fab.
However $1 billion would fund a 10k wpm fab probably at 28nm process technology.
Bosch says it needs the fab for sensors, IoT ICs and automotive chips.
