Micron says that DRAM production has resumed at its Inotera fab in Taiwan.
Micron called it a ‘minor facility event’.
“We expect no material impact to the business or on our ability to fulfill customer commitments,” says Micron “the incident had no effect on the local environment and there were no safety issues for our team members. Micron will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to our customers and suppliers as needed.”
Taiwan reports say 10-20k wafers were scrapped with 40k being evaluated as to whether the chips can be sold as partials.
