Connectors specialist Huber+Suhner has expanded its MXP series of multicoax connectors with a version that can handle up to 50Ghz.
The MXP50 multicoax, dense interface pitch connector has been introduced to meet the need for testing interconnectivity up to 50GHz.
The MXP series is designed for the high speed digital testing market and according to Huber+Suhner, the broadband characteristics and the true coaxial-to-PCB transition of up to 50Gbps/50GHz allows the design of evaluation boards and test set-ups for the latest generation of high speed semiconductor standards.
The MXP50, according to its makers, provides “outstanding” electrical and mechanical performance – the highest density and lowest loss – and is designed to save valuable board space while keeping the distance between the connector and the device under test to an absolute minimum.
Key features of the MXP50 include standard absolute phase matching down to +/- 2ps, availability in 1×8 and 2×8 ganged formats and easy slide on, reliable mating with no threading or tools required
The use of Huber+Suhner’s flexible Multiflex cable in combination with a detailed numbering and coding system ensures easy channel handling without any degradation of the signal integrity.
