Imagination increases revenues, reduces losses

FY 2017 operating profit was £7.79 million up from the FY 2016 loss of £26.7 million.
Licensing revenue was up 82% to £33.9 million and royalty revenues were up 8% at £111.1 million.
Wireless comms unit Ensigma grew revenues from £2 million to £6 million and the MIPS unit grew revenues 12%.
The PowerVR processor business grew revenues 43% to £14.5 million.
Opex was £137.4 million down from £148.3 million in FY 2016
500 people – a third of the workforce – left Imagination in FY2017.
However tax and the costs of discontinued businesses and financing costs ended in a net loss of £27.9 million compared to a loss of £80.8 million in FY 2016.
