Novacap and Syfer Technology have jointly announced a range of high-temperature multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for projects in oil exploration, geothermal, military, under-hood automotive and avionics.
The ‘HiT’ range has an operating range of -55 to +200ºC, and offers tin-over-nickel terminations that had not been previously available in the companies’ other high-temperature MLCCs.
Both C0G and X7R dielectrics are available in case sizes from 0805 to 2220, with capacitance across 4.7pF to 3.3uF and voltage from 16 to 630Vdc. Case size 0603 is available in X7R, with C0G “hot on the heels”, said the firms.
Amongst 500/630V parts, the upper capacitance limit has just been stretched to 68nF,
Components are RoSH-compliant and Pb-free, and made by screen printing.
Novacap and Syfer are both Knowles Capacitors
