MasterCard to bring fingerprint credit card ID to Europe this year

MasterCard plans to launch a biometric credit card in Europe later this year.
The card will authenticate a purchase via fingerprint ID.
The system is currently being trialled in South Africa.
Apple Pay and Android Pay both use fingerprint ID.
The benefit of fingerprint over four digit pin is that there is said to be only a 1 in 50,000 chance of matching a fingerprint while there are 10,000 4-digit combinations.
