PC market stays flat

Global PC shipments dropped to their lowest level since 2006 last year.
According to Gartner’s latest forecast, PC sales will decline by another 1.2% this year as an ongoing undersupply of DRAM chips drives up prices and further stifles demand.
This will partly be offset by Microsoft’s decision to end Windows 7 support in early 2020, which is expected to prompt many businesses to get new hardware and thus keep the PC market from shrinking any further through 2020.
