Distributor PEI-Genesis is to stock Harting’s harsh environment connectors in the European market after the two signed a new distribution agreement.
The new agreement, which came into effect today (1 September), extends the two firms’ long-standing partnership in the North American market.
Under the agreement, PEI-Genesis will stock Harting products – which include electronic connectors, network components, pre-assembled system cables, and backplane assemblies – and also offer the company’s design consultancy services.
In particular, it will allow PEI-Genesis to expand its offering in the industrial market.
Harting managing director Peter Hannon said: “PEI-Genesis’ commitment to stock and the technical expertise of their sales team will ensure a strong service to Harting’s existing and new customers across Europe.”
Jonathan Parry, PEI-Genesis’ senior vice president global operations and MD for Europe, said the agreement would allow the two businesses “to deliver across Europe the same winning combination of high performance connector solutions, engineering design expertise, depth and breadth of inventory, and fast shipping that North American customers have valued for years”.
