Compound Semiconductor Technologies (CST) Global, the Scotland-based volume-producer of III-V compound semiconductor lasers, has been acquired by Swedish firm Sivers IMA Holdings.
Targeting the high growth networking markets, Sivers IMA already supplies wireless products for WiGig and 5G wireless network applications.
Its merge with CST Global will add fibre optic network products such as edge optical lasers used in data centre, cloud and the “fibre-to-the-subscriber” markets.
Neil Martin, CEO of CST Global, writes:
“Sivers IMA can now supply photonic, microwave and millimeter wave solutions for the rapidly expanding data centre, cloud and telecommunications markets in China, Europe and America.”
