EC to empower anti-Google law-suits

Not content with slapping a $2.4 billion fine on Google, the EU competition commissioner is urging companies to sue the company.
Margrethe Vestager, the EC’s anti-trust chief, says she will shortly publish a report on the EU’s judgment against Google which will give litigants the ammunition to bring civil actions against Google.
The EC report will assert that Google holds a dominant market position which requires higher levels of conduct than normal competition laws require
Potential litigants are companies which brought the original complaint against Google which include News Corp, Deutsche Telekom, Expedia, Axel Springer and Getty Images.
Any price comparison site will be enabled to bring a suit against Google, and any retailer who feels it has been unfairly discriminated against bupy a Google search may also have a case.
Google was found guilty of skewing the results of searches to favour its own shopping price comparison site over others.
