Last men standing in the marathon Toshiba auction are Western Digital and Broadcom, reports Reuters.
This means Hon Hai and Hynix are out of the running.
It may also mean that Broadcom has raised its $18 billion bid to match Hon Hai’s $20 billion.
Though Western Digital’s bid is lower, it owns jv assets with Toshiba.
All will be revealed, Toshiba says, on June 15th.
But it has extended the auction deadline before.
