Smiths Interconnect has introduced a 0.65mm pitch coaxial socket as part of its DaVinci 45G range of high speed testing sockets.
The higher speed socket with 0.65mm pitch will be used for testing graphics processors and CPUs.
The socket’s signal probe design and patented IM-coated body structure are intended to achieve high reliability and superior durability in high speed testing.
The DaVinci 45G 0.65mm pitch socket supports 45GHz / 32Gbit/s signals and 3A current carrying capacity.
Paul Harris, sales and marketing vice president at Smiths Interconnect, writes:
“The DaVinci Series addresses the growing demand to accommodate complex functional integration of ICs for higher performance in smaller form factors.”
