July billings by manufacturers of semiconductor equipment were $2.36 billion which was 4.9% down on June’s $2.48 billion and 4.1% up on June 2017’s billings of $2.27 billion, reports SEMI.
“Global billings declined for the second month in a row, indicative of customer push-outs,” says SEMI CEO Ajit Manocha, “we expect the industry to weather this soft patch and end the year overall with strong growth.”
